So I purchased a Wanhao I3 Mini, this was because the frame of my main printer’s (Prusa i3 style clone) cracked and stopped printing reliably. So I got the I3 Mini as a bridge so I can print the necessary parts to put together a P3Steel, Though I do have a delta (Kossel I3 Mini), […]

Bench PSU / Solder station (Part 2)
After successfully wiring up and testing the power supply I started to make in my last post (here) which incorporated an DPS3005 Adjustable DC Constant Voltage module and a T12 solder station, The next stage was to design a case for laser cutting out of black acyclic. However I wanted to add some USB ports and some fans, After […]
Bench PSU / Solder station (Part 1)
I started to build a bench power supply with an inbuilt T12 solder station. Because all of IT12 solder kits I found require between 12v-24v I decided it would be best to use a 24v LED PSU. as well as a DPS3005 Adjustable DC Constant Voltage power supply module with integrated voltmeter / ammeter, which […]
Mesh Visualizer tool
I have been continuing to have some problems levelling the Kossel printer, So I decided to take a little detour and made a small tool for visualizer the levelling mesh to give me a better indication what is going wrong from one test to another. The tool allows to save various mesh in local storage […]
First print – Kossel Mini
One word, Failure….. It would certainly appear that the process of calibration is far from complete, as you can see from the pictures the printer is printing in a slight convex, i.e. a downward arc from the center to the edge. More adjustments are definitely going to be required…..
Improved inductive sensor support for Hictop Prusa i3
A while ago I modified a circular fan duct and mount created by mcleishn on thingiverse for my Hictop Prusa i3, it is actually my most popular design thus far. In this model, I also tried including selective laser sintering but the machine didn’t have enough specifications for that. The modified version had an improved […]
Yet an another filament guide
I today released the filament guide I have been using for a while on my Prusa i3 3d printer. It is a relativity simple design made with TinkerCad, which can be attached to the top of the printer with a standard M5 screw. The design is available here on Thingiverse. Enjoy!
First look at my robotank
Lately I have been working towards building a robotics platform, I was very reluctant to spend a lot of time attempting to design something from scratch. After much internet searching I found a brilliant design entitled ‘prototank‘ by thingverse user timmiclark. My plan is to take this design and add cameras, sonar sensors and probably some kind […]
Circular fan duct for Prusa I3
I have been recently looking for a new fan duct for my Prusa i3 3d printer as I’ve found the stock one only pushes air in one direction. I was ideally looking for one that I could attach an inductive sensor to for one of my next attempts to improve the printer. An inductive sensor […]
